Different Processes of CNC Metal Parts

Turning: This is a type of CNC metal processing that uses a lathe and cutting tools to remove excess metal material from a rotating workpiece. CNC turning is ideal for making cylindrical parts.
 
Milling: Milling involves the use of a multi-point rotating tool to remove material from a workpiece. Milling metalworking features include the creation of pockets, slots, flat surfaces, complex contours, and chamfers.

Drilling: Drilling is the process of creating a circular hole in a metal workpiece. While a drill press or tapping machine is designed specifically for drilling, a milling machine can also be used to perform this operation. The drilling process can include enlarging an existing cast or drilled hole, while reaming is the process of enlarging a previously drilled hole to a very precise diameter.
 
EDM (Electrodischarge Machining): EDM removes material from the workpiece surface through the process of spark erosion. Since some complex metal parts can only be achieved through EDM, this process is widely used in aluminum processing as an auxiliary processing method.

Wire EDM: This method uses a moving metal wire as a tool electrode, transmits a pulse current between the wire and the workpiece, and uses the erosion effect of the pulse discharge to cut CNC metal parts.
