Product description

In machining production, bending pieces are frequently used to create shapes like V, U, and more. Typically, two common methods of metal bending are employed: mold bending and bending machine bending. Mold bending is ideal for intricate structures, small-scale production, and high-volume processing, while bending machine bending is better suited for larger structures with lower output volumes. These techniques play a crucial role in bending parts processing technology.

One, bending machine bending
When utilizing a bending machine for bending, the process is generally categorized into ordinary bending and CNC bending. CNC bending is primarily employed for high-precision requirements and bending irregularly shaped sheet metal. Its fundamental principle involves using bending machine bending tools like V-grooves to shape and form materials. The advantages of CNC bending include convenient clamping, precise positioning, and rapid processing speed. However, its drawback lies in the limited pressure exerted, allowing only for simple forming processes, leading to lower efficiency in certain applications.

Two, CNC bending machine bending

The CNC bending machine employs a numerical control system to manage the slider (which determines the depth of the punch into the concave die) and automatically control the position of the rear stopper. This automation enables the bending of workpieces to achieve various bending angles and widths, forming precise bends. The key process characteristics of a CNC bending machine include high productivity, enhanced accuracy in bending parts, simplified operation, reduced need for intermediate stacking areas, and decreased labor intensity.

Bending parts of the processing technology

1, free bending

Free bending is a commonly employed production method that utilizes the edges at the opening of the concave die and the vertex edge of the punch for bending, with the bending angle regulated by the depth of the punch within the concave die. This technique necessitates less bending force, thereby reducing stress on the mold and extending its lifespan significantly. However, variations in sheet thickness and mechanical properties can lead to slight changes in the bending angle.

2, correct bending

Correction bending involves applying precise pressure from the punch onto the rounded corners and straight edges of the workpiece. As the punch moves downward, the blank angle will gradually decrease compared to the concave die's rebound, eventually reaching the stroke's end where the convex die corrects the blank. This correction ensures that the workpiece's rounded corners, straight edges, and bending radius closely align with the punch, achieving the desired shape and dimensions.

3, three-point bending

In three-point bending, the bending angle is precisely determined by the rounded corner at the die entrance and the pin's surface. Adjusting the height of the pin allows for different bending angles to be achieved. A hydraulic pad positioned between the punch and the slide block compensates for the flexural deformation of both components, ensuring that the material contacts these three points—the rounded corner, pin surface, and hydraulic pad—along the full length of the die during punching and bending operations.
