What is CNC machining?
CNC machining (computer numerical control machining) is an automated manufacturing process in which, when a CNC system is activated, the desired cutting instructions are programmed into the software, instructing the corresponding tools and machinery to perform the specified dimensional task, similar to robotic operation.
CNC Programming: In CNC programming, the code generator in the digital system typically assumes perfect mechanical design. However, when a CNC machine cuts in multiple directions simultaneously, errors can occur, and these errors are even greater.
Critically, CNC systems are anything but static. New instructions can be added by modifying the program code, allowing the system to continuously adapt to new requirements and machining tasks. This flexibility and scalability is a major advantage of CNC machining.

CNC Machine Programming
In CNC manufacturing, machines are controlled through numerical control (NC) operations, where a software program is specified to manipulate the machining of an object. The language used in CNC machining is called G-code, which controls various machine functions, such as speed, feed rate, and coordinates. Essentially, CNC machining allows the speed and position of machine functions to be pre-programmed and executed in a repetitive, predictable cycle via software, requiring little to no human intervention. In the CNC machining process, a 2D or 3D CAD drawing is first conceived and created, then converted into computer code that the CNC system can execute. After the program is entered, an operator performs a test run to ensure there are no errors in the coding.
